Our client is storing methanol in a single-walled stainless steel tanker that has been rendered immobile and is enclosed in a secondary spill prevention/containment system. Can we please get a variance to this rule and continue to use our immobilized tanker as a permanent storage tank?

The 6800 gallon tanker is in very good shape and still has the outer shell covering and insulating the inner core where Methanol is stored. The variance will allow the owner to continue to safely use this tanker without the need for additional costs of purchasing new stainless steel tanks.
