Conditions: A new S-1 Occupancy warehouse facility of 495,000 square feet, Type IIB construction will  have two cellular communications on separate networks in lieu of two different transmission  technologies. Code requires a system employing DACT to have two lines of communication  with two different transmission technologies.

2= Applicant will undertake alternative actions in lieu of compliance with the rule to  ensure that granting of the variance will not be adverse to public health, safety, or  welfare.  Explain why alternative actions would be adequate (be specific).
Facts: 1. The building will be protected with an automatic fire suppression system per NFPA 13, 2010  Edition.
2. Two separate cellular carriers will be utilized.
3. The system will check every 5 minutes-code allows test intervals of 24 hours.
4. Similar variances have been approved in the past for  this issue, but not limited to 6-12-03,  17-05-24, 17-05-38, 17-09-60 were approved with conditions that two separate cellular  carriers be utilized. 
5. The Plainfield Fire Department has been consulted (Chief Stevens) on this variance and are not opposed to the variance provided two separate cellular carriers will be utilized.
