Conditions: Temporary tent structures are being erected on the Warren Golf Course at the University of  Notre Dame for use during the US Senior Open from June 22-30.  The tents will be erected for a period exceeding 30 days, which is the limit per IFC Indiana amendment.  Tents are being  erected and outfitted from the middle of April until the beginning of the event.  
The temporary tents will be used for hospitality, catering, and dining.  
DEMONSTRATION THAT PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELFARE ARE PROTECTED:

2= Applicant will undertake alternative actions in lieu of compliance with the rule to  ensure that granting of the variance will not be adverse to public health, safety, or  welfare.  Explain why alternative actions would be adequate (be specific).
Facts: 1. The tents will be erected for a period significantly less than 180 days - the limit for  temporary tent structures in the un-amended IFC.
2. The tents will be occupied by the public for only a week.
3. All tents comply with the NFPA 701 flame propagation criteria.
4. All tents otherwise comply with all requirements of Sec. 3013 and all applicable
requirements of Sec. 3104.
DEMONSTRATION OF UNDUE HARDSHIP OR HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURE:
Imposition of the rule would result in an undue hardship (unusual difficulty)  because of physical limitations of the construction site or its utility services.
