Conditions: A new building of approximately 410 square feet, classified as an H-3 occupancy and to be  used for storage of drums of Class 1C flammable liquids will not be provided with a fire  sprinkler system.
The code requires all H occupancies to be sprinklered.

Facts: 1. The design of the building and the storage attangement of the drums of Class 1C liquids will follow the requirements of Chapter 13 of NFPA 30, 2018 edition for a detached unprotected  building.
2. The storage will be limited to a maxium of 20, 55 gallon drums of the Class 1C liquid.
3. The building will be normally unoccupied.
4. The building will be located approximately 100 feet from any other building on the same site.

Imposition of the rule would result in an undue hardship (unusual difficulty)  because of physical limitations of the construction site or its utility services.
