Conditions: The Indianapolis Convention Center will host the Auto Glass Week 2019 event. As part of the  event up to 60 vehicles will be stored and operated with in the facility. Because the vehicles  are operated as part of the event the batteries will not be disconnected and each vehicle will  have a full tank of gas, not exceeding 16.5 gallons.

Facts: Variance is for the event starting at 8:00 am on August 31, 2019 until 11:59 pm September, 6,  2019.

1.Up to 60 motor vehicles to be placed throughout Halls A, B & C.
2.  Each vehicle to have a full tank of gas, not to exceed 16.5 gallons, with its gas cap taped.  Vehicles will not be re-fueled within the building
3.  Up to 60 cars with batteries to be connected, all at one time, starting at 8 am on August 31,  2019 until 11:59 pm September, 6, 2019.
4. Four (4) of the 60 vehicles to be running 5-10 minutes during competitions and show hours  of each event day (September 4-6, 2019).
5. Up to 60 cars with ignition in the auxiliary power position, all at one time, during  competitions and show hours of each event day (September 4-6, 2019).
6. Vehicles will be secured when not in use.
7. Vehicles will be monitored for any leak, and if any present will be re-located outside  immediately.
8.Exposed electrical and plumbing floor ports will be protected from the infiltration of fluids in  the area of the vehicles.

Facts: This event has been held at other similar facilities with no accidents or injuries. Other similar  events requiring the operation of vehicles have been successfully held at the Indianapolis  Convention Center.[12-09-32, 12-12-38, 13-12-07 and 18-09-31]   The event is well planned  and maximum safety measures will be in place.  The protection measures will provide an  equivalent level of safety for the participants and spectators.
