The Event Center is a one-story structure with a slab on grade, masonry block walls, and  metal roof over wood I-joists. Interior finishes are drywall (gypsum board).

It is 6,976 square feet with two meeting rooms separated by a movable partition. Each  meeting room is 48' x 47', or 2,250 square feet, for a total meeting room space of 4,500  square feet.

The building's total occupant load is 280 people.
It is a V-B Construction type and is an A-2 occupancy. Alcohol will be served at events such  as weddings, Christmas parties, etc. If alcohol was not being served, we would be an A-3  occupancy and we would not be required to have as sprinkler system. But who would rent  this facility if they did not have the option of serving beer, wine and mixed drinks at an event?

Facts: 1)  ADD FIRE HYDRANT TO EXISTING PARK 4" WATER LINE - NONE IN PARK CURRENTLY
2) ADD TWO EXIT SIGNS AND PANIC HARDWARE TO EXISTING NORTH EXTERIOR DOORS -  FOR A TOTAL OF SIX EXITS
3) ADD A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM WITH ELECTRICAL POWER CUT-OFF SWITCHES TO  MUSICIAN'S OUTLETS ALONG INTERIOR NORTH WALL. THE INTENT IS TO STOP THE NOISE  CREATED BY A BAND DURING AN EMERGENCY.

Facts: OUR BUDGET IS: COUNTY-$450,000.00 PLUS GRANT-$228,900.00 FOR A TOTAL OF  $678,900.00.

OUR BIDS CAME IN AT $873,315, WHICH WE WERE ABLE TO NEGOTIATE TO $736,515.00. OUR  CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE FOR RUNNING A NEW WATER LINE TO AN EXISTING 12" WATER LINE ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 361 IS $157,925.00, OR 23% OF OUR BUDGET.
