Conditions: Several escutcheon rings were found to be missing in the theatre area at time of inspection.
DEMONSTRATION THAT PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELFARE ARE PROTECTED:

2= Applicant will undertake alternative actions in lieu of compliance with the rule to  ensure that granting of the variance will not be adverse to public health, safety, or  welfare.  Explain why alternative actions would be adequate (be specific).
Facts: This is the only violation cited for this inspection and it has not been cited in the past.  
To install new escutcheon rings would require scaffolding to be erected in the theatre to  access the sprinkler heads at a height of 35 feet above the floor.  In addition, it is estimated to  cost $30,000.  The Victory Theatre is a historical venue owned by the City of Evansville and  while it provides a unique and historical venue for entertainment to the surrounding areas, it  operates at significant financial loss.  In conclusion, we ask that the Commission approve this variance request as the missing escutcheon rings do not impede the effective spray pattern  of the sprinkler heads.
