|
The interior egress doors located at the South end of the memory care has a lighted EXIT sign above the door to enable the public to identify it as a door. The resident's residing on the unit would be directed by facility staff that has been trained in Emergency preparedness and are tested with monthly fire drills. There is a total of 3 egress doors on this unit all of which have lighted exit signs. Facility also has evacuation plan posted in hallway with directional egress.

The south end exit doors are designed to provide a safe, secure and homelike environment to our residents with Alzheimer's or Dementia diagnosis. There is special activity programming that takes place throughout each day to provide structure. These types of patients have exit seeking behavior the decals on the door are needed to assist in the reduction of exit seeking behavior.
