Conditions: The temporary tent structure erected annually at the IU Devault Alumni Center grounds will be in place for a period of 8 months each year beginning in 2018.  Per the Indiana amendment to the IFC, a temporary tent structure is permitted to be in place for a period not to exceed 30  days within any calendar year.
The tent is erected annually during the last week of March and remains in place until the last  home football game in November.  The tent is used for Alumni fundraisers and other related  alumni functions.  It can also be booked for weddings, picnics, and similar events.

Facts: 1.  The tent structure complies with all requirements of Sec. 3013 otherwise and all applicable  requirements of Sec. 3104.
2.  The tent structure complies with the NFPA 701 flame propagation criteria.
3.  The tent is erected on a poured-in-place concrete slab with embedded tie-downs.
4.  The electrical feed currently used from the building with temporary wiring will be made  permanent to eliminate the temporary wiring outside of the tent structure.
