Facts: |
|
The fire suppression system will be out of serving on parts of floors 2 through 5. Areas occupied by hospital staff will sprinklered. Heat detectors will be installed to completely monitor the construction area where the sprinklers are out of service, which will serve as the required fire watch. The heat detection will provide very detailed, complete and constant fire watch for advanced notification in the event of a fire. This proposed plan has been reviewed, on site, by Ed Taylor and Tanya Pickett of the IFD. The sprinklers will be taken out of service in June of 2018,and will be out of service for 18 months. There are no occupants above the 5th floor of this part of the building. All patient-treatment areas of the building are separated from this part of the building by 2-hour fire barriers. The areas of interest and the subject 2-hour fire barriers separating patient treatment areas as shown in the attached plans.

Facts: |

The fire suppression system will be out of service on floors 2 through 5, in the areas occupied by contractors. A complete heat detection system will be installed in these areas, so serve as the fire watch. The heat detection system will provided a very detailed, complete and constant fire watch, simultaneously, over the entire unsprinklered area, and provide advanced notification in the event of a fire. This proposed plan has been reviewed, on site, by Ed Taylor and Tanya Picket of the IFD. The sprinklers will be taken out of service in June of 2018, and placed back in service within 18 months of shut down. There are no occupants above the 5th floor of this building. All patient treatment areas of the building are separated from this part of the building with 2-hour fire barriers. The areas affected by the shut down, and the location of the 2-hour fire barriers, are as shown on the attached plans.
