Sec. 1030.2 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	Required exit accesses, exits and exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the building area served by the means of egress is occupied. Sec. 703.1 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. Such elements shall be visually inspected by the owner annually and properly repaired, restored or replaced when damaged, altered, breached or penetrated. Where concealed, such elements shall not be required to be visually inspected by the owner unless the concealed space is accessible by the removal or movement of a panel, access door, ceiling tile or similar movable entry to the space. Openings made therein for the passage of pipes, electrical conduit, wires, ducts, air transfer openings and holes made for any reason shall be protected with approved methods capable of resisting the passage of smoke and fire. Openings through fire-resistance-rated assemblies shall be protected by self- or automatic-closing doors of approved construction meeting the fire protection requirements for the assembly. Sec. 901.6.1 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	Fire protection systems shall be inspected, tested and maintained in accordance with the referenced standards listed in Table 901.6.1.	Provide documentation of annual fire alarm testing within the last 12 months.	04/27/2018
Sec. 1006.3 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate all of the following areas: 1. Aisles and unenclosed egress stairways in rooms and spaces that require two or more means of egress. 2. Corridors, interior exit stairways and ramps and exit passageways in buildings required to have two or more exits. 3. Exterior egress components at other than their levels of exit discharge until exit discharge is accomplished for buildings required to have two or more exits. 4. Interior exit discharge elements, as permitted in Section 1027.1, in buildings required to have two or more exits. 5. Exterior landings as required by Section 1008.1.6 for exit discharge doorways in buildings required to have two or more exits. The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 604.	Repair front door emergency lighting to proper operation on battery backup. Sec. 315.3 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	Storage of materials in buildings shall be orderly and stacks shall be stable. Storage of combustible materials shall be separated from heaters or heating devices by distance or shielding so that ignition cannot occur.	Organize all basement storage areas. Sec. 315.3.4 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	Attic, under-floor and concealed spaces used for storage of combustible materials shall be protected on the storage side as required for 1-hour fire-resistance-rated construction. Openings shall be protected by assemblies that are self-closing and are of noncombustible construction or solid wood core not less than 1 3/4 inches (44.5 mm) in thickness. Storage shall not be placed on exposed joists. Exceptions: 1. Areas protected by approved automatic sprinkler systems. 2. Group R-3 and Group U occupancies. Sec. 5303.5.3 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5	Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling caused by contact, vibration or seismic activity. Securing of compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks shall be by one of the following methods: 1. Securing containers, cylinders and tanks to a fixed object with one or more restraints. 2. Securing containers, cylinders and tanks on a cart or other mobile device designed for the movement of compressed gas containers, cylinders or tanks. 3. Nesting of compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks at container filling or servicing facilities or in seller?s warehouses not accessible to the public. Nesting shall be allowed provided the nested containers, cylinders or tanks, if dislodged, do not obstruct the required means of egress. 4. Securing of compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks to or within a rack, framework, cabinet or similar assembly designed for such use. Exception: Compressed gas containers, cylinders and tanks in the process of examination, filling, transport or servicing.	Secure all compressed gas cylinders.	04/27/2018
IC 22-14-3-5	Operation without permit or special event endorsement; infraction Sec. 5. (a) This section applies to the following: (1) Each person who has control over the performance of an amusement or entertainment described in IC 22-12-1-23. (2) Each person who has control over a regulated place of entertainment. (b) A person described in subsection (a) commits a Class C infraction if: (1) a regulated place of amusement or entertainment is used for an amusement or entertainment described in IC 22-12-1-23; and (2) no regulated place of amusement or entertainment permit or special event endorsement issued under this chapter covers the conditions at the regulated place of amusement or entertainment that affect fire and explosion safety.
