Operation without permit or special event endorsement; infraction Sec. 5. (a) This section applies to the following: (1) Each person who has control over the performance of an amusement or entertainment described in IC 22-12-1-23. (2) Each person who has control over a regulated place of entertainment. (b) A person described in subsection (a) commits a Class C infraction if: (1) a regulated place of amusement or entertainment is used for an amusement or entertainment described in IC 22-12-1-23; and (2) no regulated place of amusement or entertainment permit or special event endorsement issued under this chapter covers the conditions at the regulated place of amusement or entertainment that affect fire and explosion safety.  
Apply for and obtain amusement entertainment permit. Last day of current permit is today.

2014 Edition IMC  675 IAC 18-1.6 
507.2.1 Type I hoods. Type I hoods shall be installed where cooking appliances produce grease or smoke as a result of the cooking process. Type I hoods shall be installed over medium-duty, heavy-duty and extra-heavyduty cooking appliances. Type I hoods shall be installed over light-duty cooking appliances that produce grease or smoke.  
Complete installation of commercial kitchen hood to continue deep frying.

2014 Edition IFC  675 IAC 22-2.5 
904.11 Commercial cooking systems. The automatic fire extinguishing system for commercial cooking systems shall be of a type recognized for protection of commercial cooking equipment and exhaust systems of the type and arrangement protected. Preengineered automatic dry- and wet-chemical extinguishing systems shall be tested in accordance with UL 300 and listed and labeled for the intended application. Other types of automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be listed and labeled for specific use as protection for commercial cooking operations. The system shall be installed in accordance with this code, its listing and the manufacturer¿s installation instructions. Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be installed in accordance with the Indiana Mechanical Code (675 IAC 18). 
Install proper hood suppression to continue frying under new hood.

Sec. 7.3.1.1.1 2010 Edition NFPA 10 675 IAC 28-1-2 
Fire extinguishers shall be subjected to maintenance at intervals of not more than 1 year, at the time of hydrostatic test, or when specifically indicated by an inspection or electronic notification. 
Extinguishers out of date, recertify extinguishers.

Sec. 904.11.6.2 2014 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.5 
Automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be serviced at least every six months and after activation of the system. Inspection shall be by qualified individuals, and a certificate of inspection shall be forwarded to the fire code official upon completion. 
Old hood suppression needs recertification by end of March, 2018.
