Sec. 605.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Illumination shall be provided for service equipment areas, motor control centers and electrical panelboards. 
The light in the equipment room on the first floor does not work.

Sec. 605.4.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Relocatable power taps shall be directly connected to a permanently installed receptacle. 
Power strips in the office area by the service desk have power strips plugged into extension cords instead of receptacles.

Sec. 605.5 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. 
The boiler room in the basement has a pump plugged into an orange extension cord as permanent power. The first floor laundry area, and the office area by the main desk has several extension cords that are powering non-portable appliances.

Sec. 605.5.1 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Extension cords shall be plugged directly into an approved receptacle, and, except for approved multiplug extension cords, shall serve only one portable appliance. 
The office area by the main desk has extension cords that are plugged into power strips instead of a receptacle.

Sec. 1011.4 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Internally illuminated exit signs shall be listed and labeled and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and Section 2702. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. 
The west door in the basement fitness area is not illuminated.

Sec. 901.6 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. 
The latest fire alarm inspection report indicates that the strobe in the pool area does not work.

Sec. 605.1 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code. Electrical wiring, devices, appliances and other equipment that is modified or damaged and constitutes an electrical shock or fire hazard shall not be used. 
The motor on the wall by the entrance door of the boiler room has wires that are spliced without a box.

Sec. 315.2.3 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Combustible material shall not be stored in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms or electrical equipment rooms. 
The first floor electric room has polyurethane and paper janitorial supplies strored in it.

Sec. 901.4 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Alterations to fire protection systems shall be done in accordance with the applicable rules of the commission. 
The basement has several sprinkler heads that have no ceiling system around them anymore. The original installation required a ceiling system.
