Sec. 1011.5.3 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702. Exception: Approved exit sign illumination means that provide continuous illumination independent of external power sources for a duration of not less than 90 minutes, in case of primary power loss, are not required to be connected to an emergency electrical system. 
Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times and shall have an alternate electrical system (battery back-up) for the event that the premises' electrical system fails. The Exit sign located at the back door would not illuminate from the battery back-up system.

Sec. 605.5 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords and flexible cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only with portable appliances. 
Extension cords shall not be used as a substitute for permanent wiring. Extension cords found powering the flat screen television, many extension cords found behind the half wall the television is sitting on and extension cords found in the back storage room. Recommend a licensed electrician come in and run hard wiring for the half wall area and power strips be used only as necessary.

Sec. 3003.5 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Compressed gas containers, cylinders, tanks and systems shall be secured against accidental dislodgement and against access by unauthorized personnel in accordance with Sections 3003.5.1 through 3003.5.3. 
Compressed gas cylinders located at the back door were not secured to prevent accidental dislodgement and need to be secured.
