675 IAC 12-4-12 (f) (eff March 1, 1988) 
No addition to a building or structure plus the existing building or structure shall exceed the height, number of stories and area allowed by the rules of the commission for a new building or structure. 
The addition to the existing Shanklin Theatre/Hyde Hall (referred to as the May Studio addition) resulted in non-compliance based on allowable area; the total area for the existing building and the new addition exceeded allowable area for the construction type according to the code of record.
