Sec. 605.4.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4 
Relocatable power taps shall be directly connected to a permanently installed receptacle. 
Two strips were found being powered by extension cords in the theatre area near the sound and lighting equipment.

Sec. 1011.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated. Exception: Tactile signs required by Section 1011.3 need not be provided with illumination. 
An exit light was not illuminated at the exit in Hyde Hall (south exit). Another exit light was also not illuminated in the costume storage area.

Sec. 1015.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Required exits shall be located in a manner that makes their availability obvious. Exits shall be unobstructed at all times. Exit and exit access doorways shall be arranged in accordance with Sections 1015.2.1 and 1015.2.2. 
An exit light in the corridor downstairs in the center of the hall needs the arrows punched out of it to indicate direction of exits.

1999 Edition NFPA 13 675 IAC 13-1-8, Sec. 3-2.6.3 
Unless applied by the manufacturer, sprinklers shall not be painted, and any sprinklers that have been painted shall be replaced with new, listed sprinklers of the same characteristics, including oriface size, thermal response, and water distribution. 
Sprinklers in the Acting Classroom and also in the Shanklin sound booth have been painted with ceiling paint.

Sec. 901.6.2 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
Records of all system inspections, tests and maintenance required by the referenced standards shall be maintained on the premises for a minimum of three years and shall be copied to the fire code official upon request. 
Record of the annual fire alarm and sprinkler system testing was not available to review today; records will be available upon re-inspection, or emailed to Code Official to review.

Sec. 1006.3 2008 Edition IFC 675 IAC 22-2.4  
The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate the following areas: 1. Aisles and unenclosed egress stairways in rooms and spaces that require two or more means of egress. 2. Corridors, exit enclosures and exit passageways in buildings required to have two or more exits. 3. Exterior egress components at other than the level of exit discharge until exit discharge is accomplished for buildings required to have two or more exits. 4. Interior exit discharge elements, as permitted in Section 1024.1, in buildings required to have two or more exits. 5. Exterior landings, as required by Section 1008.1.5, for exit discharge doorways in buildings required to have two or more exits. The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702.  
Record of the 90-minute battery testing of the exit and emergency lights was not available to review during inspection today.
